This video is about a particular student that lives in India. The teacher was using corporal punishment in her classroom which went way to far. One child ended up committing suicide because of it. This video shows everything that happened to this student and his teacher.
I have never been a fan of the idea of corporal punishment, but after watching this video in particular, I now realize that my views against it could not be any stronger. I think that school should be a safe place where kids feel loved and important. Getting hit for things such as not finishing their homework on time is outrageous to me. These students could have so many more issues going on at home that teachers don't know about which means it only adds up when they arrive at school. Sensitivity in the lives of young children is of key importance as you can see since this child committed suicide.
